OpenTime is an open-source and standards compliant solution to time and expense data collection. It is available as a plug-in for the Eclipse IDE or as a standalone.

It is a suite of modules and subsystems (Eclipse plug-ins) designed to facilitate the deployment, use and management of time and expense data. Designed to support the set of standards from the HR-XML consortium and to be able to interoperate gracefully with legacy or new enterprise backend systems

With OpenTime, you can:

• Track and organize time and expenses on a project, customer and activity basis
• View your timesheets in various formats (XML, HTML, TEXT)
• Publish or transfer (and receive) timesheets and reference data to other HR-XML enabled systems.

It uses the Eclipse SWT and JFace APIs who support native widgets to conform the native application’s look and feel. It can be deployed on any platform/environment that runs the Eclipse platform.
