PepeMax is an Eclipse plug-in for Jabber/XMPP. It aims to provide instant messaging for your favorite IDE. For use in a small group of developers, say 5-15 developers, collaborating over an intranet.

It will provide all basic functions of an instant messenger like: Managing Rosters, Sending, receiving and storing instant messages,Participating in one-to-one chats and Participating in multi-user-chats .

Version 0.0.4 comes with three views:

• Roster Explorer - Add/Remove Account, Connect/Disconnect ,Add Buddy to Roster ,Remove Body from Roster ,Remove Body from Group ,Send Instant Message
• Message List - Shows all messages of the types normal (Instant Messages), error and headline (broadcasted events) are shown in this list. Filters can be set to the above mentioned types. The whole model is sorted by an arbitrarily user-chosen column. The order can be reversed. Filter and sorter settings are persisted between session.
• Chat - Send and Receive chat messages. Also shows history of communication with the selected buddy.

The chat messages are not persisted yet. You can only chat with buddies from your roster. There is no signaling of new chat messages implemented yet. All builds are built on Eclipse 3.0 M8 or later. Prior versions have not been tested.
