The main contribution of the Eudibamus project is to provide a platform for knowledge-enabled software engineering. That is a knowledge model is used to guide a software developer during almost any engineering activity. The major focus of Eudibamus is to supply an easy creation, modification, and navigation of knowledge while a developer is reading, understanding, implementing, or testing source code. Eudibamus was initiated by the research project KOGITO in order to bring system requirements managed by a knowledge model much closer to the developer's task.

Eudibamus supports the following features:

1. Extended information is linked with code elements
2. Extended information is represented in an integrated view inside of Eclipse (Eudibamus view)
3. All extended information is also editable from inside this view
4. Synchronous browsing between assigned information snippets and code is provided.
