This plugin provides secure, extensible, real-time collaboration associated Eclipse with projects, and the teams of people working on those projects.

Main user collaboration features:

• Security -- Project team authentication is integrated with source code control system (e.g. CVS), encryption can optionally be used at the transport level, and policy-based security controls can be applied to dynamically distributed components.
• Integration with CVS -- Full integration with CVS source code management, including using CVS authentication for team security and CVS project creation through the Eclipse project creation wizard.
• Team Presence -- Project team members receive presence information, and also receive information from other Eclipse users about their current activities (tasks, open editors, current UI selection). The system is easily extensible to allow other sorts of team-specific presence information to be automatically communicated among team members.
• Peer-to-Peer File Sharing -- Project team members can reliably transfer files to one another.
• Messaging and Chat -- Project team members can send secure IM's and alerts to one/all other group members.
• Application Sharing -- Windows users can share desktop applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Browsers, etc) with one or all team members.
• Co-Browsing -- Project Team members can direct other team members to any web page or web-based media.
• Extensibility -- Team members can securely distribute arbitrary components dynamically to one or all team members to introduce new team-specific collaboration functionality.
• Open Real-Time Collaboration Platform -- Source code and APIs are available so that other plugins can use the secure messaging and communication layer to interact with servers, or with remote clients with arbitrary messages.
