Essential Eclipse Upgraded With Voice Over
The well known educational psychologist William Glasser claimed in his research that we learn and remember:
- 10% of what we read
- 20% of what we hear
- 30% of what we see
- 50% of what we see and hear
- 70% of what we discuss with others
- 80% of what we experience or practice
The latest version of "Essential Eclipse - The Visual Tutorial" now comes with voice over. This allows the learner to use less cognitive bandwidth by hearing the tutorial rather than reading. However, we've kept the balloons, just like subtitles when watching a movie they work well in tandem with sound. In addition, discussion spaces are available for each skill that's introduced.
As the research may show, there is no substitute for "Learning by doing". However, the visual tutorial gets you to the "doing" stage faster than reading. In addition, if you want bypass any tutorial and go directly to doing then you can do that too. The visual tutorial provides context sensitive access from many places in the workbench.
