Borland Donates JBuilder to Eclipse

The Register reports that Borland plans on donating its venerable JBuilder IDE to the Eclipse consortium. According to Borland's chief executive Dale Fuller:

We will give customers something that's differentiated in the market and do it with a lot less investment on our part.

Fuller indicated that Borland expects to make money by charging enterprise users for support of the open source product.
